If you are looking for a great family vacation spot on the Eastern Florida coast, I have a find for you! Our family was on a road trip last summer and stumbled upon the sweetest town along the way. If you have not been to Stuart, Florida you are missing out. It holds small town charm, boutique style shopping, the down town is walkable and has a small riverwalk that is peaceful. If you are looking for a beach, you simply hop in the car, drive over a bridge and head to Virginia Forrest Beach with free parking and lovely scenery.

Now, for the southern hospitality – we booked a stay at The Old Colorado Inn. This place!!!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how adorable it truly is. The ‘Inn’ is actually a stretch of street that has not only their main building set up similar to something you would see in San Antonio or New Orleans, but also a row of adorable houses that they own. As a family of 5 we opted for The Blue House. This is a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom home that is to die for.

Upon arrival they ask you to call to alert them. The reason for this is that they personally meet you at the site to welcome you and go over any particulars with the place. It was the warmest welcome we have ever experienced. The house was immaculate, cozy, and had everything that our family could possibly need for our stay.

Images below show just one of the three bedrooms in The Blue House. There are two others, 4 total beds and can likely sleep up to 8 very comfortably.
